A pause for the mind

In the quiet of nature

In the green surroundings of Lang Mo Retreat, two days of meditation give you space to step back from competing demands and attend to your present experience. The group is limited to 16 participants, with a pace that makes room for introduction, practice and rest.

Begin by finding a comfortable posture and noticing natural breathing. Short periods of quiet sitting alternate with walking, gentle movement, slower meals and personal notes. Beginners can participate at their own pace, change position or pause when needed.

Nguyễn Mai Phương facilitates the overall journey and everyday application; Nguyễn Bảo Trâm guides awareness of breathing and relaxation; Trần Thanh Tâm supports the gentle movement sessions. You can ask for individual support and choose how much to share with the group.

The programme includes one overnight stay, four meals and scheduled activities. Before joining, share dietary or mobility needs and any support you require. If you have a health condition or are receiving treatment, discuss suitability with your healthcare professional.

A pause for the mind

Practices that bring you back to the present

Begin with simple things

Each activity offers a way to explore attention. Practices are short, include breaks and can be adapted to participants' needs.

Quiet sitting and attention to breathing

Choose a comfortable seated position, notice natural breathing and recognise when attention wanders. You can change position or pause rather than push through discomfort.

Slow walking in nature

Notice your steps, movement and surroundings. Walking is adapted to the terrain, weather and participants' mobility.

Listening to the body

Explore physical sensations, gentle movement and pauses. Notice what feels comfortable and when an adjustment is needed.

An attentive meal

Take a moment during a meal to notice flavours, your pace and how you feel. Menu arrangements are discussed separately for the chosen location and dietary needs.

Quiet time and reflection

Make time to read, observe nature or write about your experience. Sharing is optional; you do not need to discuss private matters with the group.

Your practice journey

Four connected themes take you from introduction to everyday application. Their order and duration are adapted to each journey; there is no requirement to reach the same state or outcome as someone else.

What you can take home

The value of a retreat lies in what you notice, experience and choose to continue. Experiences vary; the journey does not promise the same health outcome for everyone.

01

An intentional pause

Make time for yourself, step back from competing demands and notice your current pace.

02

A way back to the present

Explore points of attention such as natural breathing, your steps or sounds around you.

03

A clearer sense of your needs

Notice when you want rest, a posture change or support, and practise expressing those needs.

04

Personal observations

Take home notes about what you experienced and what suits you, rather than a target you must meet.

05

A manageable practice

Choose a small practice to continue in daily life, with a realistic time and routine.
